Creek Indians

The Creek Indians, also known as the Muscogee or Mvskoke, are a Native American tribe originally from the southeastern United States, particularly present-day Georgia and Alabama. They are part of the larger Southeastern Ceremonial Complex and have a rich cultural history including complex social structures, pottery, and ceremonies. Forced westward during the 1830s Trail of Tears, many Creek people now reside in Oklahoma. Today, they maintain vibrant communities, cultural practices, and tribal governments, emphasizing their enduring heritage and contributions to American history.
