Createspace
Createspace was a self-publishing platform owned by Amazon that allowed authors and publishers to produce and distribute physical books easily. It handled the printing, distribution, and sales, enabling authors to publish without traditional publishers. Once a book was uploaded, Createspace used print-on-demand technology to produce copies only when ordered, reducing costs. In 2018, Createspace merged into Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), which now offers similar print-on-demand services. Essentially, Createspace was a user-friendly way for writers to bring their books to the market independently, with professional quality and wide distribution through Amazon.
