Craniopharyngioma
Craniopharyngioma is a rare, non-cancerous brain tumor that develops near the pituitary gland, which controls hormones and body functions. It typically grows near the base of the brain, behind the eyes. Symptoms can include headaches, vision problems, hormonal imbalances, and growth issues in children. Although benign, it can cause significant health problems due to its location and pressure on surrounding brain structures. Treatment usually involves surgery to remove or reduce the tumor, and sometimes radiation therapy. Early diagnosis and management are important to reduce the risk of long-term complications.
