CQ (Chloroquine)
Chloroquine is a medication originally developed to treat malaria, a disease caused by a parasite transmitted by mosquitoes. It works by interfering with the parasite’s ability to multiply inside the human body. In addition to malaria, chloroquine has been studied for its potential effects on other conditions, including certain autoimmune diseases. While effective for malaria, its use requires careful medical supervision due to possible side effects. Recent research also explored its potential role in treating or preventing COVID-19, but clinical evidence has been mixed, and it is not widely recommended for this purpose without medical guidance.
