CPS process

CPS, or Child Protective Services, is a government agency responsible for investigating reports of child abuse or neglect. When concerns are raised, CPS evaluates the child's safety and well-being, often by visiting the child's home and talking to everyone involved. If necessary, they provide support services to help families improve their situation. Their primary goal is to protect children from harm while also supporting families to function safely and healthily. CPS interventions are guided by laws and policies aimed at balancing child safety with family integrity.
