Cozy Bear, also known as APT29 or The Dukes, is a sophisticated group of hackers believed to be linked to Russian intelligence. Active since at least the mid-2000s, they specialize in espionage, targeting governments, think tanks, and corporations, particularly in the U.S. and Europe. Cozy Bear is known for their stealthy methods, using sophisticated malware and social engineering techniques to infiltrate networks and steal sensitive information. They gained significant attention during the 2016 U.S. election for their alleged involvement in cyberattacks aimed at influencing political processes and undermining confidence in democratic institutions.
