Courts of England and Wales

The courts of England and Wales are part of the legal system that resolves disputes, interprets laws, and administers justice. They are organized into different levels: the Magistrates’ Court handles less serious matters like minor crimes and minor civil disputes; the Crown Court deals with serious criminal cases; and the County and High Courts handle civil cases, such as disputes over contracts or property. The Court of Appeal reviews decisions made by lower courts, and the Supreme Court is the highest, ruling on important legal issues. Together, they ensure laws are applied fairly and consistently.
