Courses and bearings
Courses and bearings are navigational tools used to describe directions. A course is the actual path or route a vessel or vehicle intends to follow, expressed in degrees from North (0° to 360°). Bearings specify a direction from a fixed point to another object, often given as an angle clockwise from North (e.g., N45°E). Essentially, courses describe a planned route, while bearings identify the position of objects relative to your current location, helping navigate accurately and avoid obstacles or reach destinations efficiently.
