Country Coordinating Mechanisms
Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCMs) are national bodies that oversee and coordinate the implementation of international health programs, such as those targeting HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. They bring together government agencies, healthcare providers, community groups, and other stakeholders to develop strategies, allocate resources, and monitor progress. CCMs ensure that efforts are aligned with local needs, promote accountability, and facilitate partnerships between countries and global donors. Essentially, they serve as the central platform for a country’s response to specific health issues, fostering collaboration and effective use of resources to improve public health outcomes.
