Counterfactual Theory

Counterfactual Theory suggests that the meaning or truth of certain statements depends on what would happen if things were different. In philosophy and logic, it examines how circumstances change when we imagine "what if" scenarios. For example, understanding causation involves asking, "If this event hadn't occurred, would the outcome have changed?" It helps clarify relationships between events or concepts by considering alternate possibilities, providing a way to analyze cause and effect, moral responsibility, or the meaning of statements based on how things could have been different.
