Counter-Terrorism Strategy (CONTEST)

CONTEST is the UK’s national strategy for preventing and responding to terrorism. It aims to reduce the threat, protect communities and infrastructure, and support those vulnerable to radicalization. The strategy is divided into four main areas: 'Prevention' (stopping people from becoming terrorists), ' Pursue' (investigating and disrupting terrorist activities), 'Protect' (strengthening defenses and resilience), and 'Prepare' (planning and responding to attacks). Overall, CONTEST brings together government agencies, law enforcement, through communities to work collaboratively for a safer society.
