Council Presidency

The Council Presidency is a rotating leadership role within the European Union's Council, held by one member country for about six months. The presiding country organizes meetings, sets agendas, and facilitates discussions among member states to reach consensus on policies and laws. This role helps ensure smooth decision-making and representational consistency during their term, promoting collaboration across diverse nations. The Presidency also often presents the Council’s positions to other EU institutions and external partners, acting as a coordinator and facilitator to advance the EU's collective objectives.
