Council of Mortgage Lenders

The Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) was a trade organization in the UK that represented mortgage lenders and helped shape the mortgage industry. It provided a platform for lenders to discuss industry challenges, share best practices, and influence government policy. The CML aimed to ensure a transparent and competitive mortgage market, promoting responsible lending and better consumer outcomes. In 2017, the CML merged with the UK Finance organization, which continues to advocate for lenders and represent their interests.
