Council of Councils

The Council of Councils is a group of senior leaders from the U.S. Federal Reserve System who gather to discuss and exchange ideas on economic issues and policies. It was created in 2012 to bring diverse perspectives from Federal Reserve Banks outside of Washington, D.C. This council helps inform the Federal Reserve’s decision-making by providing insights on regional and global economic conditions. Its goal is to improve communication and coordination within the Federal Reserve System, ensuring policies better reflect the broader economic landscape.
