Cotton Belt regions
The Cotton Belt is a region in the southeastern United States historically known for producing and exporting large quantities of cotton. Covering parts of states like Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas, it features warm climates and fertile soils ideal for cotton farming. This region played a significant role in the economy and development of the U.S., especially during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Today, while still associated with cotton production, its boundaries have shifted due to changes in agriculture and technology.
