Corus Group was a major UK-based steel and engineering company formed in 1999 through the merger of British Steel and Koninklijke Hoogovens. It specialized in producing steel products for construction, automotive, and packaging industries. In 2007, Corus was acquired by Tata Steel, an Indian multinational, and the UK operations were eventually integrated into Tata Steel Europe. Corus played a significant role in the UK’s manufacturing sector, known for its large-scale steel production and engineering expertise. The brand and company no longer exist as an independent entity, having been absorbed into Tata Steel’s global operations.
