Corsi

Corsi is a statistic used in hockey to measure puck possession. It counts the number of times a team successfully takes a shot on goal, blocks a shot, or redirects a shot--essentially, all instances where the puck is directed toward the net and stays in play. The idea is that a higher Corsi indicates that a team controls the puck more often and has better offensive opportunities, while a lower Corsi suggests they spend more time defending or losing puck possession. It helps assess how well a team is controlling play during a game.
