Corporation of London
The Corporation of London, also known as the City of London, is a historic financial district and administrative body responsible for governing the City’s unique local authority. It manages various services like policing, infrastructure, and planning, and supports London's financial sector, which includes major banks, insurers, and investment firms. Unlike other parts of London, it has its own elected officials called Common Councilors and a Lord Mayor. The Corporation plays a key role in maintaining the area's status as a global financial hub, balancing urban administration with the interests of businesses operating within its jurisdiction.
