coronary artery aneurysms
A coronary artery aneurysm is a localized enlargement of a segment of one of the arteries supplying blood to the heart. This enlargement occurs when the artery wall weakens or becomes damaged, causing it to balloon out. While some aneurysms may cause no symptoms, larger or severe cases can increase the risk of blood clots, blockage, or even rupture, leading to serious heart problems such as a heart attack. Treatment depends on size and risk factors and may include medications, monitoring, or surgery to prevent complications.
