Coronary Anatomy

Coronary anatomy refers to the network of arteries that supply blood to the heart muscle itself. The two main coronary arteries are the left and right coronary arteries, which branch off the aorta (the main artery from the heart). The left coronary divides into the left anterior descending and circumflex arteries, nourishing the front and side of the heart. The right coronary supplies the heart's right side and back. These arteries create a dense network ensuring the heart receives oxygen-rich blood vital for its pumping function. Proper coronary function is essential for overall heart health and effective circulation.
