Cornelio Saavedra
Cornelio Saavedra was a prominent Argentine military and political leader during the early 19th century. He played a key role in Argentina's struggle for independence from Spain, especially as President of the Cabildo (town council) of Buenos Aires and later as head of the revolutionary government.
