CoreValve

CoreValve is a medical device used to treat a narrowed or damaged aortic valve in the heart. It is a type of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), meaning it is inserted through a blood vessel rather than open-heart surgery. The CoreValve is made of a collapsible metal frame and a biological valve that mimics a healthy heart valve. Once placed in the heart, it expands to take over the function of the damaged valve, allowing blood to flow properly. This minimally invasive procedure helps improve symptoms and quality of life for patients with aortic valve disease.
