COREPER
COREPER, short for the Committee of Permanent Representatives, is a group of diplomats from each European Union country who work together to prepare and coordinate the EU's policies and decisions. They meet regularly in Brussels to review proposals from the European Commission and guide their country's stance before these proposals go to the EU's ministers or leaders for final approval. Essentially, COREPER acts as the main bridge between individual EU nations’ interests and the broader decisions made at the EU level, ensuring smooth collaboration and effective policymaking.
