Corded Ware culture

The Corded Ware culture was a prehistoric European society that existed around 2900–2300 BCE. Named after the characteristic decorations found on their pottery, they were skilled in farming, animal domestication, and metalworking. They are believed to have played a key role in spreading Indo-European languages across Europe and Eurasia. The culture is characterized by their distinctive burial practices, such as single graves with grave goods, and their use of cord-ornamented pottery. Archaeological findings suggest they had complex social structures and extensive trade networks, making them an important part of Europe's early prehistoric history.
