Corcoran Gallery of Art

The Corcoran Gallery of Art, located in Washington, D.C., was a historic art museum and educational institution established in 1890. It housed an extensive collection of American and European paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts. The gallery also served as a teaching school for artists and art students. In 2014, it merged with the Washington WASHINGTON DC's Museum of Fine Arts, and its collection was integrated into the National Gallery of Art, effectively closing the physical space.
