Coptic persecution
Coptic persecution refers to the discrimination and violence faced by Egypt’s Coptic Orthodox Christian community, which is the country's largest Christian minority. Throughout history, they have experienced social marginalization, restrictions on religious practices, and unjust treatment, often fueled by religious and political tensions. These persecutions can include harassment, property attacks, and sometimes deadly violence. Despite legal protections, Copts frequently struggle for religious freedom and equal rights in predominantly Muslim-majority Egypt, making their community vulnerable to ongoing challenges rooted in religious identity and societal dynamics.
