Coptic identity

Coptic identity refers to the cultural and religious identity of Coptic Christians primarily from Egypt. It encompasses their ancient heritage, rooted in Christianity established in Egypt since the first centuries AD, and their distinct language (Coptic), liturgical traditions, and history. Despite facing challenges over centuries, Copts maintain a strong sense of community and faith, blending their religious beliefs with Egyptian cultural customs. Their identity is both religious and national, representing a significant and enduring part of Egypt’s diverse heritage.
