Coptic Church Calendar
The Coptic Church Calendar is a liturgical calendar used by the Coptic Orthodox Church to mark religious seasons, feasts, fasts, and saints' days. It follows the ancient Egyptian solar calendar, with 13 months—12 of 30 days each and an epagomenal month of 5 or 6 days. The calendar predominantly celebrates events in Christ's life, such as Christmas (around January 7), Easter, and other holy days. It also maintains fasting periods aligned with biblical traditions. This calendar helps the faithful observe and commemorate their religious heritage through a structured annual cycle.
