Coptic Calendar
The Coptic Calendar is an ancient Egyptian-influenced system used primarily by the Coptic Orthodox Church. It consists of 13 months: 12 months of 30 days each and an additional month called Pi Koi, which has 5 or 6 days in leap years. The calendar’s year begins on September 11 (or September 12 before a leap year), aligning with the ancient Egyptian solar cycle. It is used for liturgical purposes and determining religious festivals, maintaining a close connection to Egypt's historical and agricultural traditions.
