Copper Leaching

Copper leaching is a process where chemicals, typically acids, are used to extract copper from underground ore or mined material. Instead of traditional digging and crushing, the ore is treated with solutions that dissolve the copper, which is then separated from the liquid. This method allows for extracting copper from low-grade ore more efficiently and with less environmental disturbance. The solution containing the dissolved copper can be processed further to recover pure copper metal. Copper leaching is commonly used in mining to make copper extraction more sustainable and economically viable.
