Coplanar Waveguide
A coplanar waveguide (CPW) is a type of electrical transmission line used to carry high-frequency signals, such as in radio and telecommunications. It consists of a central conducting strip flanked by two ground conductors on the same flat surface, all on a single insulating layer. This design allows signals to travel efficiently with minimal loss and interference. Because it is flat and compact, CPW is commonly used in modern circuit boards for microwave and RF applications, enabling precise signal transmission while simplifying manufacturing and integration into electronic devices.
