COP15

COP15, also known as the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), was a global gathering held in December 2022 to negotiate international efforts to combat climate change. Representatives from nearly 200 countries worked to establish cooperation on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, protecting nature, and helping vulnerable communities adapt. The conference aimed to create a roadmap for achieving the global goal of limiting temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. It emphasized the importance of collective action, equity, and increased ambition in climate commitments to ensure a sustainable future for all.
