Cooperative Commonwealth Federation
The Cooperative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) was a Canadian political party founded in 1932 that aimed to promote social and economic reforms based on progressive principles. It focused on advocating for social justice, public ownership of key industries, improved labor rights, and a more equitable distribution of wealth. The CCF sought to address the hardships of the Great Depression by promoting cooperation between workers, farmers, and creative government policies. Its influence laid the groundwork for Canada's modern social programs, and in 1961, it evolved into the New Democratic Party (NDP), continuing its social-democratic ideals.
