Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC)

The United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) is an international treaty adopted in 2003 to promote measures that prevent corruption and strengthen laws against it worldwide. It encourages countries to implement rules that promote transparency, accountability, and integrity in government and the private sector. UNCAC also facilitates international cooperation to investigate and prosecute corruption-related crimes, recover stolen assets, and prevent corruption through education and awareness. Its goal is to foster honest governance, reduce corruption's negative effects on development and security, and build trust between governments and citizens.
