controlled experiments

A controlled experiment is a scientific method where researchers test a hypothesis by changing one factor while keeping others constant. This allows them to see how that single change affects an outcome. For example, if scientists want to study how sunlight affects plant growth, they might grow two groups of plants: one group in sunlight and the other in the dark, ensuring all other conditions, like water and soil type, are the same. By comparing the results, they can determine the effect of sunlight on growth more accurately.
