Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement

Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP) is a type of road surface made from concrete, designed for durability and longevity. Unlike traditional pavements with joints or cracks, CRCP is reinforced with steel bars that run continuously throughout the slab. These steel reinforcement bars hold the concrete together and control cracking caused by traffic loads and temperature changes, resulting in fewer cracks and smoother riding surface. This technique is especially useful for heavily trafficked roads, providing a stronger, longer-lasting pavement that requires less maintenance over time.
