Continuous Wave Radar
Continuous Wave (CW) Radar is a system that constantly emits a steady radio signal to detect objects and measure their distance and speed. Unlike pulsed radar, which sends out brief pulses, CW radar continuously transmits and listens for reflected signals. By analyzing these reflections, especially changes in frequency caused by the Doppler effect, it can determine how fast an object is moving. CW radar is effective for speed detection, such as in traffic enforcement or missile guidance, but it cannot directly measure the distance to an object without additional techniques like modulation or interference.
