Continuous signals are functions that can take on any value within a certain range at any given time. Think of them like a smooth, unbroken line on a graph, where measurements can happen at infinitely many points. Examples include sound waves or temperature over time. In contrast to discrete signals, which consist of distinct or separate values, continuous signals represent a more natural, ongoing data flow, making them useful in fields like engineering, communications, and audio processing.
