context externalism

Contextual externalism is a theory in philosophy of mind and epistemology which suggests that whether a belief is justified or knowledge depends not only on the individual's mental state but also on the surrounding context. In other words, the correctness of our beliefs can be influenced by external factors like the environment, the way a question is framed, or the standards of the situation. For example, a belief might count as knowledge in one context but not in another, depending on what is considered relevant or sufficient at the time.
