Conte I Cabinet
Conte I Cabinet was the Italian government led by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte from June 2018 to September 2019. It was a coalition mainly formed by two political parties: the populist Five Star Movement and the right-wing League. This government focused on policies like reducing immigration, implementing a basic income program for the poor, and addressing economic challenges. It was characterized by a blend of populist and nationalist ideas, and it navigated Italy through important issues such as economic reform and European relations, until its resignation and replacement by a new government in 2019.
