Constructor Theory

Constructor Theory is a scientific framework that focuses on understanding what transformations or tasks are possible or impossible in the universe, rather than just analyzing how systems behave. It shifts the perspective from studying specific states to examining the fundamental principles that determine whether certain changes—like turning raw materials into useful products—can occur. Essentially, it asks, "What are the basic laws that allow or prevent these transformations?" by defining ideal "constructors" that can perform tasks repeatedly without being altered themselves. This approach aims to unify physics and information theory by revealing the underlying structure of physical processes.
