Construction Management at Risk (CMAR)
Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) is a project delivery method where a construction manager is hired early in the process to collaborate with the project owner during design. The manager provides cost estimates, scheduling input, and construction expertise from the start. They then take on the responsibility of completing the project within a guaranteed maximum price (GMP). This approach offers better cost control, transparency, and coordination, reducing risks of delays and budget overruns. Essentially, the construction manager acts as a trusted partner, guiding the project smoothly from design through construction while managing risks effectively.
