Constitutional Democratic Rally

The Constitutional Democratic Rally (RCD) was a political party in Egypt, founded in 1981, as a successor to the historic Wafd Party. It was considered a center-right party advocating for political reform, economic development, and democratic principles within Egypt's political framework. The RCD played a significant role in Egyptian politics, especially during the rule of President Hosni Mubarak, serving as his political organization. In 2007, it was renamed the National Democratic Party (NDP). The party was dissolved in 2011 following the Egyptian revolution, which sought to end authoritarian rule and promote democratic change.
