Constitutional Court of Czechoslovakia
The Constitutional Court of Czechoslovakia was a specialized judicial body responsible for ensuring that laws and government actions complied with the country's Constitution. It reviewed legislation, government decisions, and electoral disputes to protect constitutional principles and individual rights. Established to maintain the rule of law and balance among branches of government, the court’s decisions were final and binding, serving as a guardianship of constitutional order in Czechoslovakia until the country peacefully split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 1993.
