Constitution of Medina

The Constitution of Medina was a formal agreement established by Prophet Muhammad in 622 CE to unite diverse tribes and communities in the city of Medina. It created a cooperative framework that recognized the rights, responsibilities, and protections of Muslims, Jews, and other groups, promoting peaceful coexistence and mutual defense. The document emphasized loyalty to the city, justice, and cooperation while respecting different religious and social identities. It is considered one of the earliest written charters promoting interfaith harmony, setting a precedent for governance, community unity, and conflict resolution.
