Constitution Bench

A Constitution Bench is a special group of the Supreme Court of India, usually comprising five or more judges, that hears and decides on very important or complex constitutional cases. This larger bench is convened when the case has significant legal or constitutional implications that may affect the entire country. The purpose is to ensure a thorough and authoritative interpretation of the Constitution, providing consistency and clarity in legal rulings affecting fundamental rights, national policy, or constitutional principles.
