Consociationalism

Consociationalism is a political approach designed to manage societies with diverse groups, such as different ethnic, religious, or linguistic communities. It promotes power-sharing through institutions that ensure each group has a voice and influence, often involving proportional representation, group vetoes, and shared executive roles. This system aims to prevent conflict by fostering cooperation, mutual respect, and stability among groups with differing interests.
