Conservation Reserve Program (CRP)

The Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) is a U.S. federal initiative designed to improve environmental health by encouraging landowners to convert their agricultural land to natural habitats. In return for planting native grasses and trees or allowing land to rest, participants receive financial incentives from the government. This program helps to reduce soil erosion, improve water quality, and provide habitats for wildlife. CRP aims to enhance ecosystems while supporting farmers economically, striking a balance between agricultural production and environmental conservation.
