Conquista de Cantabria

The Conquista de Cantabria refers to the period during the early Middle Ages when Christian kingdoms in northern Spain gradually reclaimed and expanded their territory from the Muslim-controlled areas, known as Al-Andalus. This process involved military campaigns, alliances, and settlements aimed at consolidating control over Cantabria and surrounding regions. Although parts of Cantabria remained under Muslims' influence for some time, the overall conquest contributed to the Christian Reconquista, shaping the political and cultural landscape of northern Spain.
