Coniston Water

Coniston Water is a scenic glacial lake located in the Lake District of northwest England. It spans approximately 5 miles (8 kilometers) in length and is about a mile (1.5 kilometers) wide, with a depth reaching around 240 feet (73 meters). Surrounded by hills and forests, it offers stunning views and is popular for boating, kayaking, and walking. Historically, it was the site of John Ruskin’s and Donald Campbell’s activities; Campbell also set water speed records there. Coniston Water's natural beauty and cultural history make it a notable destination in the Lake District.
